Kh Md Nahiduzzaman

Dr. Nahiduzzaman is an Associate Professor at Citinnov SA for Integrated Territorial Planning & Smart Cities in Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Morocco. He also held faculty positions at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Okanagan, Canada, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. His expertise spans on urban and territorial planning and resilience, human-centric smart cities, and climate risk assessment. He has secured more than $5 million in research funding and published 80+ scientific works in journals, book chapters, conference and workshop proceedings. A recognized expert in these fields, he collaborates on research projects with governments, industrial partners, and communities worldwide, including Canada, Italy, Spain, Romania, Germany, USA, Saudi Arabia, etc. His contributions to non-structural flood resilience, floodplain mapping, and land use planning strategies in BC Canada marked a significant impact on provincial policies.He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of City Development: Issues and Best Practices journal (ICCCASU), “Executive” and “Book Review” Editor of the Journal of Urban Management (Elsevier), and holds editorial roles in frontier journals, including Journal of Urban Planning and Development (ASCE), Discover Cities (Springer), etc. His recent book, “Making Sense of Planning and Development for Post-Pandemic Cities,” by Springer (2024), provides a critical roadmap for transformation.al planning in the post-pandemic cities. He seats in core scientific and organizing committees in reputed international scientific events and think-tanks, notably ICCCASU (International Conference on Canadian, Chinese and African Sustainable Urbanization), ICCSA (International Conference on Computational Science and Its Applications), and International Conference on Real Estate Development and Management (ICREDM). He is a co-chair of the "Smart and Connected Cities" track in the US-Africa Frontiers program (Kigali, Rwanda) and a scientific Committee Member of NATO Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) based in Oradea, Romania
